As Academy Ends, Group Looks Forward to High Altitude Balloon Launch

On August 1, 2008 the Glenn Summer Academy officially came to a close. The RAs however have not ceased in their efforts. The high altitude launch of their group project (a balloon assisted launch system) is scheduled for August 30, 2008 with StratoStar LLC in Indiana.


Dayton Air Show on the Near Horizon

This Saturday July 19, 2008 the NASA Glenn Academy will be attending the Dayton Air Show. While in Dayton the Academy will see a large  number of static aircraft displays and some very unique flight demonstrations. Among the flight demonstrations are a team of three F-104 Starfighters and the spectacular F-22 Raptor.


Academy to visit California this Week

On Wednesday July 9, the Glenn Academy will be departing Cleveland for the sunny days of Southern California. While in CA the Academy will be touring NASA’s Dryden Flight Research Center, Edwards Air Force Base, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX). The Glenn Academy will also be meeting up with the Ames and Marshall Academies on  the trip.


NASA Glenn Academy to Spend July 4th in Washington D.C.

The 2008 NASA Glenn Academy will be heading off to Washington D.C. this Thursday. While in D.C. the Academy will visit with their Goddard colleagues and enjoy the festivities on the National Mall.
