General NASA Academy Application Information
The due date for the application is usually mid-January; the specific due date will always be listed in the on-line application. Selection and non-selection notices come out sometime in the month of March.
What is required for the application process?
- Personal/Background information
- Academic standing info.
- 2 letters of recommendation
- Several short essays
After the first round of application reviews, qualified applicants are moved into round two which consists of one or two phone interviews with Academy alumni. Once the interviews are completed each student’s application package is sent to a final selection committee that makes the final decision.
